From the beginning, the program has remained deliberately focused. The goal was to create a place where people could feel enough emotional safety to stay, enough support to do the necessary work, and enough trust to leave with a plan that made sense for their life. That goal has not wavered. Willow Tree has grown carefully, guided by relationships and referrals rather than advertising, and by what genuinely helps people rather than what is easiest to scale. ## Built Around Relationships Care at Willow Tree is shaped by relationships. Between clients and their therapists. Between staff members. Between our program and the families who trust us with their loved ones. Every intake conversation is handled personally by our Founder Jake and our Admissions Director Laura. Both stay closely involved throughout a person's time with us. That continuity means the people making decisions about your care know your story and treatment goals. Inside the program, our therapists carry no more than two or three clients at a time, among some of the richest staffing patterns in the country. Care is never divided into isolated appointments handed off between departments. Most people who arrive here have complex histories, often including trauma, anxiety, depression, or long-standing patterns of coping that no longer serve them. We meet that complexity with patience because true emotional safety cannot be rushed. Stabilization comes first. Trust is built gradually. Our team draws from a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, DBT, ACT, and RO-DBT, along with mindfulness and body-centered work, always shaped around the individual person rather than a fixed curriculum. We are not a hospital, but the depth of our staffing has allowed us to walk alongside clients through real medical complexity, coordinating closely with outside providers so nothing about a person's health gets set aside while the emotional work happens.   ## Our Dedication to Residential Treatment Willow Tree provides residential treatment only. We do not operate outpatient programs, step-down services, or sober living, and our aim is not to be a one-stop destination for every stage of recovery. This lets us stay fully present for the work that happens here, while collaborating closely with trusted outside providers for detox, aftercare, and everything that comes next. We believe clients feel the humanity of an organization, even when they could never quite explain why. When our staff feel supported and valued, care is delivered with more warmth and more presence.
